LINNÉA
RIGEBLAD

About

Having found her love of singing at the tender age of 10, Sweden’s Linnéa has since spent that time honing her talents and developing her sound into the irresistibly idiosyncratic brand of pop she presents today.

Building on the genre’s rich history, both in her native Scandinavia and further afield, Linnea manages to avoid the often-aggressive pitfalls of modern pop music in favour of something softer, more refined, and ultimately more accessible.

That doesn’t mean to say her sound feels dated, however. Deftly combining a rich and raw emotion with effortless production, there’s a sense of both the classic and the contemporary at play within her music, something that stems from the influence of pop royalty such as Adele or Carrie Underwood.

Indeed, this in turn lends Linnea’s music a confessional quality, as well as an openness and an honesty brought about from her personal ethos of always wanting to tell people the truth. This emotional honesty is present throughout all of Linnea’s work, but never more so than in forthcoming single ‘I Don’t Want to Know’.

Three and a half minutes of subtly-building, folk-inspired popthat explores ideas of indecision in romantic relationships, it’s a bold and beautiful next step in Linnea’s journey.

A journey that so far has seen her recording four singles last year at New Monkey Studios LA, with producer Greg Cortez (Dionne Warwick, Billy Rae Cyrus), resulting in her earning the accolade of being named one of the best upcoming artists by LA’s very own Buzz Music Magazine

From here she caught the attention of the UK’s Fear Records, signing with the imprint at the end of 2020, a move which has led her to work with highly well esteemed producer Ian Barter (Amy Winehouse, Paloma Faith, Tyler James) who produced ‘I Don’t Want to Know’. And now with more releases in the pipeline and the year stretched out ahead of her, it seems thebuzz around Linnea is only getting louder.
